“ Great cafe for brunch. A little small but cozy. Nice staff. Our server was attentive for the most part. Coffee & tea was great. Very simple menu. Delicious food. Overall, had great experience but mostly for the very special friend I had the honor to be with. ”

“ This place was an excellent brunch spot and very much worth the wait. We had very friendly and knowledgeable servers, great food, and a warm friendly atmosphere. There’s definitely a good reason this place is busy. Parking is downtown street parking, so do be prepared to drive around a bit to find a spot and walk back. We really enjoyed our mochas, poutine (though it was smaller than we’d hoped), and the mushroom gravy. The cheese scallion biscuits were delicious, as well, but a little denser than the southern biscuits we’re accustomed to. The tea-infused compote with the French Toast was also incredible! I wish they sold the tea blend, as they make it in house. All in all, a lovely place and I really hope we’ll make it back again soon! ”

“ Still grieving their breakfast burrito. This is some of the best brunch in the city. I used to come here weekly, for their breakfast burrito, and while the rest of their food is amazing, I’m mostly just posting this review to plead with them to bring it back. It’s been years, but I still think about it often; like a long lost lover. But for real you can’t go wrong with this place, even if they did break my heart. ”

“ A really cool restaurant inside of an old house in a cool little neighborhood. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but not too bad. There are a number of gluten free options and the food was very good. The service was excellent. I sat outside right next to a gorgeous rose bush. I had the ‘Bee Gee’ which was biscuits and gravy, I chose chicken sausage for protein and eggs over easy. I also had a tequila Bloody Mary. ”

“ The only unpleasant thing was bumping into someone when I got up from the table to use the restroom. The area is small and my booty is not. The food was AMAZING! Especially if you are gluten free. How do they get the cardamom french toast so thick? And the flavors *mwah.* I also tried the gluten free eggs Benny and it was very tasty too. Apparently there are yummy gluten free biscuits out there folks, and this is where they are hiding! Also the location is cool too because there are 2 vintage stores right next door basically. All the staff was very friendly too . ”

“ Great gluten-free and vegetarian options. This place was excellent for a nice, cozy brunch along historic Hawthorne. The coconut, Filbert toast was delicious with perfectly cooked eggs and bacon. My partner had the biscuit breakfast and loved every bite. The grapefruit mimosa was balanced and fresh. We will be back! ”

“ I had the Bee Gee breakfast and everything was chef’s kiss! The biscuits were savory and full of flavor, and the potatoes with the chicken sauce were the perfect combo. I added a side of the brioche French toast with berry compote—absolutely loved it. To top it off, the mixed berry mimosa was a refreshing and delicious touch. I will definitely be back! If you’re ever in Portland, make sure to stop by The Hazel Room for a top-tier brunch experience. ”

“ First day in Portland and we stopped here. Everything was delicious, our vegan friend said out of our 16 days on the road up to this point, she was so happy they had a vegan burrito where she could have cheese and other things not offered by most places. She ended up coming back the very next day before we left town for another burrito. Great portions, Amanda did a solid job taking care of our group of 6 and being patient with our questions. The food came out quick and the flavored coffees were excellent! ”
